Last minute the Reds found out that the playoffs would be held on not so neutral ground for anybody at Fort Adams State Park in Newport, RI. North Shore was destined to play the River Rats of Charles River in the Semi-Finals for a nice early kickoff.
The Reds came out hard and hot, hitting hard and taking it to second seeded Charles River. As always, it was a game of big collisions. Lots of big boys running into each other, big hits and not a ton of ground to be made for either team. Tight game at halftime with North Shore down 2 points.
The second half was a half of missed opportunities for North Shore. 2 in-traffic knocked on tries for North Shore became the difference maker for the game. The Reds fought hard to the end but a big break sealed the deal for CR in the last 5 minutes.
