This past Saturday, the Reds traveled to scenic Albany, New York to take on the Knickerbockers. Starting a man down due to uncontrollable circumstances, the Reds did what they do best, deal with adversity.
Right from kickoff, and a great kick by Justin, the Reds managed to pin Albany deep, and got on the board first thanks to a free kick by Tim Wilkinson. Albany was quick to respond, and took advantage of the North Shore's lack of fifteen men. Winning the first half by a score of 20-3.
At halftime, the message was simple: regroup and take a breath, and that's what the Reds did. Receiving the second half kickoff, North Shore went to work. Great set pieces, inspiring defense, and fluid back line play finally saw the Reds break through, scoring four tries in the second half. Unfortunately, it was not enough. NSRFC falls to Albany 30-27.
