Our Match Report

North Shore traveled to Manchester, NH to take part in a round robin tournament in honor of Kyle Warren, an Amoskeag alum who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2010. Amoskeag hosted Fort Drum Rugby and North Shore rugby to honor his memory and raise money for local charities assisting veterans finding housing. Amoskeag and Fort Drum played the first match, and after a beautiful ceremony honoring Kyle it was time for North Shore to take on Amoskeag. Our game plan of field position and ball retention was on point from the first whistle and allowed for some clinical attacking rugby in the Amoskeag half, final after the 30 minute match was 19-0. Next we took on the Fort Drum side. Again, off superb kicks from Justin we were able to play a majority of the match on their half of the field and were able to take advantage of the space created by our forwards. Final was 25-0. A great day of rugby, the team was honored to be a part of a great memorial.
