It poured and the pitch had turned into a filed of mud, but these less than perfect conditions did not deter both team from playing a great game of rugby. While North Shore was the dominant side overall, forging their win with a powerful scrum and good distribution of the game by their fly-half, Mad River could have turned the score around on a few good opportunities.
