North Shore Vs. Burlington

Good, clean match contested cleanly. Beautiful day for it. The pitch was firm and bare in spots (we moved several scrums laterally to improve footing), but well lined. Burlington controlled a lot of possession and demonstrated even scoring between back breakaways and short play from forwards. Burlington captain Tucker (4) capitalized on two penalties within 10 meters by taking them in himself. To North Shores credit they did not fold when the score got out of reach, and put in two nicely worked tries in the final quarter. Their kicker, Nico, made two tough conversions. Compliments to both captains, Abe and Tucker, for making it a good, clean match.

NSRFC 14 - Burlington 53

Warm and sunny day at GE.

Rematch of a close NERFU cup game, game is close early on, but North Shore loses some players to injury and the size and experience of Burlington becomes too much for North Shore to handle. North Shore played tough and added two tries later in the 2nd half, both tries were converted.
